Time Traveler Caught in Museum Photo and on Charlie Chaplin Film?

 Viajante do tempo?
“Reopening of the South Fork Bridge after flood in Nov. 1940. 1941 (?)”
It’s the short description for the photograph shown at the virtual Bralorne Pioneer Museum, from British Columbia, Canada. The image can be seen specifically on this page (scroll down to the middle), among other items of the online exhibit. Did you notice anything out of place? Or perhaps, out of time?
The man with what appears to be very modern sunglasses seems to be wearing a stamped T-shirt with a nice sweater, all the while holding a portable compact camera!
Internet people reached to the obvious conclusion: it’s a time traveller caught on camera on 1940! Finally, we have proof!
If the story seems straight out of a movie and the photo is in itself a great funny find, the most amusing thing i came up with while looking into this – as an Internet person, on the Internet – was the reply for a skeptical, or perhaps somewhat cynical comment on how spurious it would seem the idea that a time traveler would want to visit the reopening of a bridge in some small town in Canada.
Read this on Doc Brown’s voice: “Of course, because we know nothing happened there right? But if we are considering time travel, how can we know if in some other timeline something historical happened right there?”
Indeed! Once you consider time travel, everything changes. But before writing Hollywood scripts, let’s get back to reality and ask again: is the photo evidence of a time traveller?

This short clip is from the DVD which includes behind the scenes in Charlie Chaplin's film 'The Circus'. Attending the premiere at Manns Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA - the scene shows a large woman (or man), dressed in black and a hat, talking into something that only be described as a mobile phone device or possibly a walkie-talkie. Remember this is from 1928:

The witches’ dance - by Philip Coppens

The witches’ gathering of Halloween 1590 in North Berwick was one of the most infamous gatherings, especially because of the ensuing trials, which sentenced many innocent people to their death, purely for political gain.

Edinburgh Castle Esplanade. The Witches’ Fountain was designed by John Duncan for Sir Patrick Geddes in 1894 and erected in 1912, created to commemorate the more than 300 witches that had been tied at the stake, strangled and then burnt between 1492 and 1722 on Castlehill, the rocky outcrop that rises above Edinburgh’s city centre. In all, it is thought that over 4500 “witches” were burnt in Scotland.
North Berwick Harbour. Currently a haven for tourists and boats bringing them to the Bass Rock, this once tidal peninsula formed an important crossing for pilgrims to St Andrews. But on Halloween of 1590, the remains of St Andrew’s Auld Kirk, now situated in front of the Scottish Seabird Centre, provided the backdrop for one of the most notorious witches’ covens.

Beyond The Exorcist | Moving Pictures | SPLICETODAY.com

Regarding William Peter Blatty, filmmaker.

Halloween is a favorite holiday for some cinephiles, given the opportunity to count down the Scariest Movies of All Time. Finishing high on such lists, and regularly topping them, is William Friedkin’s 1973 version of The Exorcist.

The film’s runaway success was derived in part from the runaway success of the equally shocking 1971 novel by William Peter Blatty, who based his plot on a 1949 exorcism he’d heard about while studying at Georgetown University. As a teenager curious as to what all the fuss was about, I checked The Exorcist out of the local library and beheld the likes of Regan’s being forced to masturbate with a crucifix, as the entity inside her roars: “Let Jesus fuck you, fuck you!” (italics Blatty’s).

The scene is repeated in one of the film’s still shocking scenes, with Regan smearing her vaginal blood on the face of her mother (played by the stalwart Ellen Burstyn) as the ever-quotable “Let Jesus fuck you!” pours from her mouth.

And all this is before the pea soup starts to flow.

The Curse of The American Presidents

The Curse of The American Presidents

An American Indian Chief named Tecumseh placed a curse on our American Presidents starting with William Henry Harrison. The curse stated that an American leader would be killed every generation. It seems that Tecumseh was angry because of the way his people were treated in the Indiana Territory, which coincidentally, was governed by future President William Harrison. After that, approximately every 20 years, an American President died in office. This curse would not be broken until President Ronald Reagan, who was elected in 1980, cheated death during an attempted assassination. When he did this, he became the first President since 1840 to be elected in a year ending with a zero who did not die in office.
Apparently there are two versions of this curse. The second one involves the Indian Removal Act of 1830 which was backed by President Andrew Jackson. According to this version Seminole Chief Osceola in Florida was believed to swear an eternal oath of war and destruction upon the future Presidents of the United States…

Technological Attempts at Human Immortality | Sherweb blog

Vampires are everywhere. Not literally of course, but it seems that every other movie coming to theaters and every other television program features the pale nocturnal bloodsuckers in some form or another.  Truth be told, there have been books and movies and shows about vampires for decades now, but things have certainly kicked into high gear over the last few years.  There’s got to be more to it than just “vampires are dangerous and sexy.”  Perhaps it’s the idea of immortality that intrigues and allures fanatical audiences by the millions.  Perhaps deep in the human psyche, as the educated population’s overall belief in a heaven or life after death wavers, there is a glimmer of hope that these creatures really do exist, and that one bite could make you live forever.

Well, sorry to burst anyone’s bubble, but vampires don’t exist.  This does not mean that all hope is lost, as there is much effort and research and money going into uncovering the path to human immortality.  We should not look towards creatures of myth for answers, but to technology.  Here’s what’s being done so far.

Chronicles of Contact Four ` Where Objects be Occupants – Hynek’s Scale | Socyberty

Impossible discussions about aliens is grounded in experience of flying objects. The Hynek Scale, however, reveals people’s experience with not only alien craft but their pilots, too.

A roadmap to the stars.

Source: Brazilian UFO drawing from The Disclosure Project

Intro

J. Alan Hynek wrote in his 1975 book, “The UFO Experience; a Scientific Enquiry,” of placing the many UFO ( Unidentified Flying Object / Occupant ) apparitions into a clear, single system. The Hynek Scale names the various types, forms and shapings of contacts with universal craft and, most importantly, their crews; whomever they are.
This web series aims to move beyond the object and focus on the occupants; or the humanity behind it all. This is why Hynek’s scale is so vital, it frames the UFO experience into one single, scientific map we all can read.

The Magnificent Opal: A Gem of ill Omen?

The opal is a gem of magical beauty; in its depths flash brilliant sparks of constantly changing colors that have entranced and fascinated people for centuries. Considered by many to be the most precious of stones, the opal is also the most fragile, and it’s sensitively to light, atmosphere, and temperature has given it an air of unpredictable that has added to its appeal.

But despite its unique properties – or perhaps because of them – the opal, more than any other stone, has inspired bigotry and superstition. Over the centuries it has waxed and waned in public favor, being viewed alternately as a charm for good luck and as an object of fear and dread.

God vs Satan

Armageddon. It is a universal theme that has spanned centuries and cultures... and has, as some say, become increasingly more relevant today.
Surprisingly, however, a final chapter of this apocalyptic end has received little examination: the actual final battle between God and Satan, good and evil. The Bible points to a battlefield at Meggido in present day Israel, with each side taking a series of steps that will lead up to, and unfold, during this actual battle. What will this battle look like? Where do the stories come from, and how have they differed throughout history, between religions? God vs. Satan: The Final Battle will take viewers on a tour of the final days, and moments, as envisioned by believers of the three Abrahamic religions.
